Local economic development is therefore a long-term objective for the DRC and it is in this sense that there is support, for example to the artisanal sector. Since 2020, a project to strengthen the arts and crafts sector has been carried out by the ORTOC<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0and the APLC<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and aims to improve their yields, their living conditions, while preserving traditional know-how. In 2023, a foundry will be created in Foumban and made available to artisans in Noun.
