Description
« Liberated memories – emancipation stories » is the catalog of the exhibition The eponymous traveling exhibition was initiated by the Rings of Memory, and supported by the Route des Chefferies for its presentation in Cameroon. The bilingual catalog follows the principles of the exhibition and evokes the history of the slave trade and slavery in the world. This re-edited version of the classic catalog was produced specifically for the exhibition presented in Yaoundé. In addition to the original content, it includes a large section on the slave trade and slavery in Cameroon. The catalog leaves an important place to the contemporary art presented in the exhibition, works created by international artists especially for the occasion. The catalog was produced by the rings of memory (reference to the site of the rings of the memory, URL : https://www.anneauxdelamemoire.org/ ) and la Route des Chefferies, who have surrounded themselves with an international scientific committee, as well as MINAC and IFC, who have contributed to this new edition.
