Bafou means “the people of people who search, who seek, who do not accept anything without understanding the substance”. The creation of the heritage hut of Bafou is the result of research, inventory and reconstruction of heritage because the chiefdom suffered from looting and the destruction of its heritage during the struggles for independence. The chosen theme is “totemism”, a universe in which the visitor plunges, between mysticism and reality.
In 2022, the chiefdom loaned objects for the exhibition « Sur la Route des Chefferies du Cameroun ». These objects returned to their place at the end of the exhibition.
