The Bafut heritage hut recalls the civilization of the Bafut in all its forms: ancestral beliefs, clothing habits, slavery, history and way of life. It presents animal symbols of royal power: leopards, lions, buffaloes, and ferocious birds including the eagle, the hawk. Royalty is also represented through the objects that belonged to the queen and the description of a king’s bedroom. It also traces the history of the war of conquest between the Bafuts and the Germans.
Located in the North West region of Cameroon, the museum is currently closed.
